RAAL Tweeter

Hi,

Clearwave has lots of experience with the design and build of speakers using RAAL tweeters. I am thinking of buying the base model of this tweeter, RAAL 70-10D RAAL Ribbon Tweeter from Madisound.

Did you use this model or an OEM model with has a different spec.? If so do you recommend this model still? What are the differences?

Any info in regard to this tweeter is welcome. Thanks

I currently use the OEM RAAL, not its little brother, as it doesn't play as low to match up with the mids or midwoofers used in my designs (which require crossover points around 2k). The OEM RAAL is perfect in this regard and in the applications I needed to do the designs. If I were to use the 10D, it would probably be with a small mid dome, which would play up to a Fc of 3.5k to build on the 10D's strengths and optimum passband.
