Anyone considering building the Duet10A, I've got a new 4 ohm woofer version available for increased sensitivity at the expense of a more demanding load (dip to 3 ohms in the bass). That's typical for a 4 ohm woofer with the passive crossover put in place. What you gain is about 3 db sensitivity.

Both are the same price (using the 8 ohm woofer or 4 ohm woofer).

Jed built these for me and now that i have had a chance to listen to them for about a week all i can say is WOW! Everything he has said describing these speakers is spot on. Tight bass, huge soundstage, detail, dynamics, everything about this speaker exceeded my expectations. There is something very special about this speaker and i believe Jed nailed it in his response to Zero the Hero on page 2, unbelievable detail retrieval is right Jed, there is just no other way to describe it.

I also want to thank Jed for his patience and prompt responses to all my emails over the last few months. Truely a pleasure to work with you Jed and hopefully we will be at it again soon, already having thoughts of a matching center channel for these beauties!

Thanks for the great review Ryan! I knew that combination of drivers would be something to talk about. The Accuton midrange creates a holographic soundstage. Speakers that I used to think had a ton of detail are simply not even close to this speaker. Might I add that some other designs from competing companies that use drivers this expensive are over 15k. The Duet10A is MUCH less making them a great value.
