Yes. I'm not sure he had the tools to do it though. He built up the counter sink around the tweeter with masonite material that is 1/8" thick. That's wasn't thick enough to do the woofer too.

I couldn't flush mount the woofer as I don't have the tools to. I used an additional 5mm plywood sheet to flush mount the tweeter but the woofer requires a slightly thicker clearance so it sticks out a little. I've no router or jigsaw only handsaw so I had to get someone to cut the holes and wood pieces to the specified dimensions for a cost. I've read that it is absolutely essential to flush mount the tweeter but not flush mounting the woofer, the effects are not as detrimental (or not even really near that). So I decided to leave it at that. But I'm pretty happy with the sound so far so I guess it's alright as it is.

FYI the photo with the speaker seen through a peep-hole. It's actually the leftover of the veneer that I used.
And for the hookup wires I used exactly 2 meters of 20AWG solid core UPOCC copper (7N) for the tweeter and exactly 2 meters of 16AWG UPOCC multi-stranded copper (7N). Both have teflon as the dielectric.

the veneer i used is nyatoh, but can't quite see any of its pattern after i varnished it. I used a walnut coloured varnish.

As for the sound, so far in a word, it's great. I'll give some impressions sometime later when i have the time to sit down a write.
