About using the XT25 tweeter

Hi, Would the Vifa XT25 tweeter work in the crossover design for the RBR?

Which XT25?

It's not likely because the sensitivities, FR, and Imp differ, which in turn requires a crossover revision.

If you are looking for a replacement for the RBR, I now have the C5 available and it is on special. It uses the Scan Speak HDS tweeter, which is a great driver.

The sensitivities are not the same so the values would need to be changed. Not sure why you want to use the XT25 over the SB tweeter in the stock kit.

I don't like to accept any imperfections in my designs, so I would never use the crossover intended for a given set of drivers with a different set of drivers unless all the parameters are exactly the same, and with these drivers they clearly are not.

That said, I'd be happy to work on a new kit for you using the XT25 and 15W8530k-01 driver if you buy the drivers from me. Since I have the RBR box it wouldn't be hard for me to run a new set of measurements with the drivers in the box. Email me for details and pricing.
