Re: Mod 2 T build
So, if I move the back out to get the 4" behind the mid chamber and leave the length/width of the cabinet at 39" would the increased volume pose a problem? I was just trying to come up with a shape that matched the volume of the original 2 CC. Going to a 1 1/4" deeper cabinet is not a problem at all for placement. I figure the current design I did at about 1.29 cu. ft. with my towers at 1.16 cu. ft. Moving the back out would bring the 2 CC to 1.47 cu. ft.

You'll get deeper bass with the larger cabinet. I modeled the same 2" flared port with a total 5" length in the new cabinet and you're looking at F3 around 40hz or so, maybe lower in your room.

Ok, thanks Jed. That looks like the way to go. I'll draw it up.

Since we have moved away from discussing the 2 T build recently, I'll start a new thread on the 2 CC. I'll try to keep this thread limited to discussion of my 2 T Mod. project.

Sounds good, just shoot me an email when you are ready to purchase the 2CC. I'll get a shipping quote to you since you are in Canada. Lately I've had PE ship the parts for me direct to my customers to save on the customs fees etc, and it gives me a more accurate quote. I then ship the crossovers and tweeters, misc parts after they are assembled etc.

The partsexpress goods is subject to Canadian and provincial taxes. Parts which came directly from Jed were tax free. Hurray.

It's hit and miss. My complete kit came directly from Jed and I was nailed for taxes & duties.
